Bravo host Andy Cohen has sent warm wishes and compliments to Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, following their exit from Vanderpump Rules.
Amid news of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s exit from Vanderpump Rules, Bravo host and executive producer Andy Cohen is sharing his thoughts. The longtime SURvers have decided to leave the show after eight seasons.
VPR fans have watched the ups and downs of Jax and Brittany’s relationship. Brittany came onto the show in Vanderpump Rules season four, after the OG cast member’s bad boy lifestyle left Stassi Schroeder (and other exes) heartbroken. Brittany started waitressing at SUR while Jax worked behind the bar, and the couple had their fair share of relationship woes on the show. In VPR season six, Jax Taylor infamously cheated on Brittany with former server Faith Stowers. The hookup rocked the cast of friends. Jax’s womanizing ways landed him in the hot seat again. As a result of the tryst, Faith became a target for Stassi and Kristen Doute. They ended up calling the cops on Faith and accusing her of a crime she didn’t commit. News of this didn’t surface until this past June. Once the news broke, Bravo moved swiftly, removing Stassi and Kristen from the show.

Stassi and Kristen are gone, and so are VPR newcomers Brett Caprione and Max Boyens, after the two men had their old racist tweets resurface. The cast was already down four members, and the future of Vanderpump Rules remains a mystery. On Friday, Jax and Brittany released a statement confirming their departure from the show. The couple already shared a big announcement earlier this year, when they let fans know that Brittany is pregnant. With so much going on, Andy Cohen felt compelled to send Jax and Brittany his regards. “I gotta talk about Jax and Brittany. I just have to say, I have to give it up to them,” Cohen said Monday on Radio Andy. “Have you seen a run on a — specifically Jax — like, Jax created so much story, drama, conversation in his eight years on that show. That’s quite a run that he had.”
He went on to praise Jax for the villainous role he played on the show, “He will go down as one of the biggest, you know, reality stars in their moment, don’t you think? That was an incredible run that they had.” He also shared that Jax took criticism well when he appeared on WWHL. “One thing that I always, always appreciated about Jax is every time he came to Watch What Happens Live, he was always in the middle of some s–t storm on the show and we just would roast him mercilessly,” he said. “And he always took it like a man. He was a good sport.”
Amid the pandemic, restaurants in Los Angeles have been shut down and the status of VPR has been up in the air. However, according to Cohen, there is still a “solid cast” with the pregnant “Pumpers “Lala Kent and Scheana Shay, as well as James Kennedy, Katie Maloney, Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, and Tom Schwartz. “When that show’s going to start shooting again, I have no idea, but I’m excited. I’m excited for there to be a shift,” he added.
