Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee’s airport farewell on 90 Day Fiancé is making fans question the truth in her accusations about Drascilla’s alleged abuse.
The last scene with Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee at the airport in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is also the last time the couple saw each other. With August came the news of their separation, and soon after both Deavan and Jihoon were hurling accusations at each other via social media. The most worrying allegation of all is Deavan’s claim that Jihoon did “vile things” to Drascilla. But why did the airport scene from the TLC show’s finale tell a different story?
On the day of the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way finale, Jihoon, 30, put out a statement which revealed he had never watched the reality show. Stating that DMs from fans were his main source of news, the Korean man also spoke about the marriage to Deavan, and said the devastating process leading to the divorce has been a “turning point.” However, Deavan, 24, shocked 90 Day Fiancé fans by handling things differently. Since her return to America, the Utah native not only kept her marriage troubles a secret, but at the same time also flaunted her new boyfriend and rumored fiancé Topher Park on social media. After showing disappointment in ex-husband Jihoon for two whole seasons on TLC, Deavan then used the scandalous episode with Drascilla’s running into traffic to start speaking about Jihoon’s apparent misdeeds on Instagram. Deavan claimed “disgusting things” happened off-camera between Jihoon and her. Soon, a news report leaked that Jihoon allegedly pulled out a chunk of Drascilla’s hair. The horrific act supposedly caused TLC to fly Deavan out of South Korea while also asking her to keep away from the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell-All. Jihoon insisted he did it to “discipline” Drascilla, and the final episode showed him and the child behaving amicably.

Oddly enough, fans noticed how the entire second half of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season two had fewer scenes of Deavan and Jihoon, but also showed the couple in a positive light. The misleading narrative for the pair on screen made a Reddit fan ask if Deavan was cheating on Jihoon all the while and “planned” to go to the USA with Topher. “But what’s even sadder was Deavan exposed the huge lie! Re: abuse allegations involving Drascilla. When she was packing, why was Drascilla alone with Jihoon?” asked the 90 Day Fiancé fan. Meanwhile, another fan also observed how “the last thing he said when he dropped them off was ‘I love you Drascilla’ and she replied, ‘I love you.’”
A different comment has another 90 Day Fiancé viewer questioning Deavan with, “Didn’t she say that the finale would reveal things?” A reply to it adds, “She always says the truth is coming and the truth will be revealed.” Fans in the thread also feel that “she purposely kept picking up fights with Jihoon so that she has an excuse to go back to the USA.” However, it could also be that 90 Day Fiancé avoided showcasing the allegations in any way, given that, as stressed by Deavan, the matter is now legal.
While Topher is promoting his fashion magazine, he is also working on a documentary with Deavan, which she has hinted at being her own version of the Tell-All. The “truth” may have not really been exposed on the show, which avoided the raw and uncomfortable drama of the couple’s storyline completely. However, the puzzle of the 90 Day Fiancé pair’s marriage falling apart could be what keeps TLC fans following them on social media, even though they might not return for a spin-off or another season.
