Sylvester Stallone’s Wife Interrupts Samaritan Scene in New BTS Video

Sylvester Stallone shares a funny video from his upcoming movie Samaritan, where his wife, Jennifer Flavin, unknowingly interrupts a scene.

Sylvester Stallone recently shared a funny video from filming his movie Samaritan. The upcoming film is one of several exciting projects the actor has been a part of in the last several years. Lately, Stallone has branched out to superhero movies, developing a working relationship with director James Gunn. He appeared as Stakar Ogord/Starhawk, an ally of Yondu, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Stallone will reteam with Gunn for next year’s The Suicide Squad, as part of an all-star cast. However, though many of the film’s stars and roles were announced months ago, Stallone and Gunn only confirmed his participation in The Suicide Squad earlier this month. His part is still a mystery, which may remain the case until a full-length trailer or the movie itself releases.

Samaritan is another of Stallone’s projects debuting next year. Described as a darker take on a superhero movie, it’s set 20 years after a battle with a supervillain. Though the supervillain was vanquished, the hero who defeated him disappeared. During the film, a kid meets an old man he believes to be the hero, played by Stallone. The actor has emphasized Samaritan will be a different sort of superhero movie than the kind audiences are used to. The film started shooting earlier this year. However, like many others, it had to pause production due to the coronavirus pandemic, with Samaritan only wrapping filming earlier this month. At the time, Stallone shared some videos from the movie’s set.

Now, Stallone has shared another, this time of a humorous behind-the-scenes moment. In the short clip, Stallone is seen filming a scene, only to be interrupted by a phone call. The actor then reveals his wife, Jennifer Flavin, is calling. Check out Stallone’s video below:

On set moments like this one are always fun for fans to see. TV show and movie blooper reels are full of instances just like this one, where an actor accidentally leaves his or her phone on for a scene, only for a friend or family member to unknowingly interrupt by calling. Aside from providing a funny moment for viewers, it’s refreshing to see actors, even those as famous as Stallone, are capable of making mistakes like this one.

The actor’s social media posts from the set of Samaritan are also effectively increasing anticipation for the film. Based on the description of the movie, it sounds like an interesting entry into the superhero genre, one that will offer something different from those by Marvel and DC. Stallone certainly has the gravitas to pull off a film like Samaritan, and it will be exciting to see him in a different type of superhero role.
