Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War data miners are sharing their findings of upcoming cosmetics for the game’s Season 1, just a week after its release.
Fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War got a sneak peak of some of the new things that will be coming to the game as part of its first season. Images leaked online depicting cosmetic assets that will become available once Season 1 launches on December 10.
Black Ops Cold War has been out for less than a week and it seems that developer Treyarch Studios is just as busy working on the game now as it was in development. The game’s first weapon patch came out yesterday, a mere five days after launch, and it is expected that more will be coming soon as Treyarch looks to properly balance and debug the new game. However, as the developer continues to live in the moment in order to perfect the latest title, some players are already looking ahead to the game’s Season 1.

GameRant reports that data miners managed to dig up photos for some of the cosmetics in Black Ops Cold War’s upcoming Season 1. Keychains, variant skins of campaign characters, and watches were just some of the elements depicted in the leaked photos shared to Twitter by TailsDoll553. It has yet to be confirmed by Treyarch if these images will indeed be part of COD: Black Ops Cold War‘s first season or if they will appear further down the line.
Though many of the images are still viewable, some were taken down and those mostly centered around Black Ops Cold War’s interpretation of the series classic Nuketown. The mini map, loading screen, and map intro and outro were all briefly available for fans to see, but have since been removed. Now all that remains is a special shotgun and keychain that are both characterized, according to their file names, as Nuketown incentives. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will get its version of the popular battle map, titled Nuketown ’84, on November 24.
It seems indicative of today’s fast moving world that less than a week after the game’s launch, fans are already looking for the next new thing. While the excitement is understandable, it feels like Treyarch has not had much of an opportunity to fine-tune COD: Black Ops Cold War to the standard it envisions. Players have also only had access to the game for six days and while many are likely familiar with the franchise, there is a strong likelihood many have yet to fully master whatever new elements Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has to offer. Gamers should take this opportunity to really learn the game, particularly the aspects that set it apart from other franchise titles, and master it before they set their sights on something new, even if it is just cosmetics.
