Eivor finds out what it means to the Assassin’s to take a leap of faith. Here’s how to acquire the technique, and further improve Eivor’s skills.
Compared to Odyssey and Origins, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla utilizes stealth with much more depth. Stealth mechanics have returned fuller, and much more effective with some minor tweaks to better sneak around. Peaking over ledges, dropping or placing bodies, it goes on. The Leap of faith has also made its way back, specifically as a learned technique but takes some time to unlock.
The Leap of Faith has been around since the very first Assassin’s Creed. Having our main character learn and master the technique has always been something of a right of passage before becoming an Assassin. The Leap of faith is very dangerous, as a fellow Assassin ended up breaking their leg while training beside Altair in the first Assassin’s creed. Though, over the course of generations and game titles, the apparent danger of the technique has subsided and quite honestly became taken for granted. Eivor is not an Assassin by birth and barely by association but due to the goodwill of Sigurd’s Assassin friends, this technique is made available to Eivor. Here’s how to unlock the Leap of faith.

How to Unlock the Leap of Faith in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
At this point, players should have unlocked the settlement and begun making strides in securing supplies and raiding nearby villages. Afterward, players should go back home to speak to Sigurd. Upon arrival, Sigurd awards Eivor a lavish room in the long house to use personally. Spend some time getting acquainted with the space, then go outside to speak to Sigurd once more. Dag and Sigurd will be in the middle of a discussion while the Assassin Basim takes his leave. Sigurd is planning on traveling North in pursuit of the Sons of Ragnar, to find more allies as well as a better understanding of England’s current state of affairs. Sigurd will convince Eivor to stay behind and continue helping the settlement to further gain its bearings. Go back to the long house and speak to Sigurd’s wife Randvi.
Once players have chosen a path forward (going south first is recommended), there will be a quest to speak to Hytham somewhere outside called “To serve the Light“. Hytham has some connections in England but expresses that the Assassin’s presence there is non-existent. His work requires a base of operations or a bureau to begin his finding and ridding England of The Ancient Ones. After building the base, Hytham will ask Eivor to accompany him on a walk somewhere uphill. This is where Hytham decides to teach Eivor the Assassin’s rite of passage. After making it to the destination with Hytham, he will jump off showing Eivor the technique. Follow suit, and players will now have permanent access to the Leap of Faith.
