This week on The Masked Singer, Snow Owls made history by becoming the first duo to remove their masks, revealing Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black.
This week on The Masked Singer, the Group A performers returned to the stage. After impressive songs by Snow Owls, Popcorn, and Sun, the judges determined that Snow Owls just didn’t make the cut. The pair made Masked Singer history by becoming the first duo to unveil themselves, revealing husband and wife musicians Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black.
Last week, fans of The Masked Singer watched the Group C Playoffs. Broccoli, Jellyfish, Mushroom, and Squiggly Monster all gave impressive performances during their second appearance onstage. But Squiggly Monster’s upbeat presentation of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones wasn’t enough to secure his place in the competition. He was forced to remove his mask, revealing actor and comedian Bob Saget.

This week, the Group A contestants returned to the stage. As the performers have slowly been eliminated over the weeks, this episode featured just three competitors: Popcorn, Sun, and Snow Owls. Together, Snow Owls belted out the lyrics to “The Prayer” by Andrea Bocelli. But even though the performance was tender and moving, it was nothing compared to Sun’s rendition of Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart.” Sun was immediately announced safe, and Snow Owls and Popcorn were forced to battle it out to continue in the competition. This time, Snow Owls sang “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion, while Popcorn jammed out to “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” by Bryan Adams. The judges ultimately decided to keep Popcorn in the competition, forcing Snow Owls to remove their mask. As Screen Rant predicted, Snow Owls shed their couples’ costume to reveal husband-wife duo Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black. Nicole Scherzinger guessed correctly, while other judges threw out names like Maureen McCormick and Barry Williams, Derek and Julianne Hough, and Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman.
According to Variety, the Clint and Lisa had no idea how challenging it would be to compete on The Masked Singer, especially when they came face-to-face with the difficulties of navigating a couples’ costume. Lisa explained, “On the first day on the set to see this egg and get inside the egg and see if we can operate it…We had handbrakes and bars and I mean it was pretty intimidating…We tried to take little bitty steps and it had a mind of its own inside that egg. It didn’t want to go where we wanted it to go. I held Clint’s hand a lot, we kind of leaned on each other.” Lisa went on to explain that everything changed when they saw the Owls element, as the costume was so beautiful that it brought her to tears. What’s more, their time competing on The Masked Singer actually inspired the couple to write a new song together. The tune, entitled “Till The End of Time,” will be released on December 3.
While Snow Owls have officially left the competition, their fellow performers will forge ahead. Popcorn and Sun are still competing for the winning title, which means fans can still obsess over which celebrities are hiding under those masks.
