Destiny 2 returns Trials of Osiris to its former glory and adept weapons are returning with Beyond Light. Multiplayer’s about to get really stressful.
Year 3 has come to an end and with that, a whole new adventure is beginning in Destiny 2. The Darkness has returned in a big way and though there are a lot of new and fun things to dive into, there are also some long-desired features returning as well. Back in March, Trials of Osiris made a huge comeback during Season of the Worthy, replacing the widely missed Trials of the Nine. Less because of the rewards and more because of the competition, Trials of the Nine was the closest thing to a “pro-league”. Its removal left many in the Destiny 2 community in a state of angst, deprived of its “cream of the crop”multiplayer activity. Now, Destiny 2 takes Trials of Osiris another step toward its former glory with the triumphant reinstatement of Adept Weapons.
Adept Weapons were and once again will be, the guns of all guns in Destiny 2; where having one will secure a path forward for success in any activity. Wielding these guns allowed players to completely decimate the competition, as well as any minions of Darkness in every game type. The Crucible became a playground for Adept Weapon users, leaving casuals in the dust and their stats in the red zone. Adept weapons are back with even more features and nasty ways to burn the competition. Here’s how players can get their hands on them.
How to Get More Adept Weapons in Destiny 2
If players want to obtain more Adept Weapons, then there’s only one place they’ve got to go; Trials of Osiris. Adept weapons are and will be composed of all existing Trial weapons, and those to come. Every weapon currently obtainable in Trials is receiving an Adept version along with Beyond Light‘s inception. There are more Trials weapons on the way, and these will also have Adept versions to collect. Of course, getting these are no simple task and require only the best performance of Trial goers. Completing a flawless run will reward players with Adept weapons after opening the chest at the lighthouse. Though it will be interesting to see where exactly the lighthouse is located this season since Mercury has been pronounced “gone”.
There’s a little bit of a catch though when it comes to procuring Adept weaponry. Every other week, Adept weapons will make an appearance as a reward rather than weekly. Also, Adept weapons now have the exclusive Adept weapon perks that can stack on additional bonuses to the already existing Masterwork function. There’s going to be a lot of crying in the crucible this coming year. Contrary to this though, each perk will also come with a debuff or a nerf to a different stat on that weapon. Meaning while there are great gains with an Adept perk, there will be some sacrifices as well to balance everything out. Adept perks are available on a weekly basis so feel free to grind away by grabbing a fire team and working hard to go flawless.
