Even four years after its release, Pokémon GO is still going strong. In fact, there are several events happening during the month of November in the mobile world of Pokémon GO.
So many things are happening, and many of them overlap. Certain Pokémon are returning to the game in greater numbers for a limited time. There are new Battle Leagues, not just one but two Community Days, and more. No matter what players decide to do, there are plenty of activities to keep them busy for the month of November.
1 November 2020 Events for Pokémon GO
November 5-16 – Lugia returns to raids
From November 5 at 1:00 PM – November 16 at 1:00 PM PST (GMT -8), the legendary psychic/flying-type Pokémon Lugia shows up in 5-star raids. This is an excellent time for players to join up with friends to take it down. Those who manage to capture it will find that it comes with the attack Aeroblast.
November 6-12 – Animation Week 2020
This event is based on Pokémon Journeys: The Series, which is the current season of the anime. Animation Week runs from November 6 at 8:00AM – November 12 at 10:00 PM local time. During this period, players can take on event-exclusive Timed Research inspired by the storyline of the animated series. There are also special shop items, and certain Pokémon associated with the show will appear more frequently in the wild. In addition, World Cap Pikachu will also appear in the wild. It’s just a regular Pikachu but comes with a cool hat!
November 9-30 – GO Battle League Season 5
Battle League is Pokémon GO’s PvP mode, in which players make teams of Pokémon and face off against each other. Now that the Halloween Cup is over, the new cups begin soon and are listed below. All cups begin and end at 1:00 PM PST (GMT -8), so keep that in mind when planning battles.
- The Little Cup runs from November 9 – November 16. The CP limit is 500, and only Pokémon that can evolve but have not yet done so are eligible.
- The Kanto Cup runs from November 16 – November 23. As its name suggests, only Pokémon from the generation 1 games are allowed. These are the ones numbered between #001 and #151 in the Pokédex. CP limit is 1500.
- The Catch Cup runs from November 23 – November 30. It allows Pokémon that have been caught during the duration of Season 5, with a CP limit of 1500. Additionally, Mythical Pokémon are not eligible. Sorry, Lugia.
November 15 – Electabuzz Community Day
Electabuzz Community Day begins on Sunday, November 15 from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time. During this period, a lot more Electabuzz will appear in the wild. Catch as many as possible, because there is a chance one will be a shiny Electabuzz.
November 21 – Magmar Community Day
Like the Electabuzz Community Day, Magmar Community Day runs from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time. In this case, it happens on November 21, and players can find an absurd number of Magmar in the wild. Again, with so many chances to catch them, players can hopefully get their hands on a shiny Magmar.
